We don't sell to the buyers we know.

We find the ones who need you.

Most boutiques run a process with the buyers they already know, in the market where the company operates.

We start elsewhere: which acquirer, anywhere, has the most to gain from this business?

A group entering a new market, buying a client base it cannot build, or filling a gap in its product perimeter pays on strategic terms, not on a local multiple.

Who we work with

Where founders usually find us

Most of our mandates start at one of four moments. Each calls for a different process, and the first weeks matter more than most founders expect.

Planning an exit

Founder-owned, profitable, built over ten or fifteen years. The question is not whether to sell, but when, to whom, and at what value. We prepare the company, map the buyers, and run the process to signing.

Already been approached

An acquirer has made contact directly. Flattering, and risky: a bilateral discussion with a single buyer almost always settles below what a competitive process produces. What happens in the first weeks decides the outcome.

Buying, not selling

Growth through acquisition in a fragmented market. Anonymous sourcing, target qualification, valuation and negotiation — with the discretion that keeps a consolidation strategy from being visible before it is ready.

Raising capital

Growth equity or strategic investment for companies that are not looking to sell. Investor mapping, positioning and introductions to funds that actually invest at your stage and in your sector.

Who you will be working with

One partner, from first call to closing.

Business and Capital was founded by Bryan Castan, after four years leading international M&A in a boutique advisory firm and around forty-five transactions supported across Europe, Asia and Latin America. Every mandate is handled directly, the preparation, the buyer conversations, the negotiation.

No junior team, no handover after the pitch.

It also means the person who tells you what your company is worth is the person who will have to defend that number in front of a buyer.
